killer red ants opened on oct 4th, friends enjoyed the picnic fair without any red ant attacks. all artwork is made on recycled material, with paper mache and paint. works range in sizes from 4 inches to 10 feet tall. ants have never looked so good, simple colorful and some even glow in the dark. many of the pieces have sold so hurry down to enjoy the show and maybe you will find an ant to take home.

surf discussion series
Chinatown Boardroom is please to announce that Kimo Hollinger is the speaker for this month’s 3rd Thursday of the month Surf Discussion Series. The Surf Discussion Series coincides with The Chinatown Arts District 3rd Thursday events. Kimo is a legendary big wave surfer from the 1960’s. He is a former lifeguard, a retired fire captain, and an author. On Thursday September 18, Kimo will be sharing his stories about waves, surfing, and his short story book “Kimo”. Don’t miss this opportunity to listen and learn from one Hawaii’s surf legends. The Surf Discussion Series creates a forum for people to meet and discuss surfing, culture and life.
